LONG ISLAND SPEECH-LANGUAGE-HEARING ASSOCIATION PARENT/CAREGIVER AWARDS
“May is Better Hearing and Speech Month, Melissa J. Roeder Poster Contest and Awards Ceremony” Each year, LISHA honors parents/caregivers from Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties who have made a significant impact in the lives of individuals who are speech, language or hearing impaired. We invite LISHA members to nominate outstanding and selfless individuals who have made noteworthy contributions to the life of a child/adult with communication needs.
If you are interested in recognizing one of these dedicated parents/caregivers, kindly submit the nomination form below. In an essay of 500 words, tell us why your nominee is deserving of receiving the 2023 LISHA Parent/Caregiver Award. Award winners will be recognized at the May is Better Hearing and Speech Month Celebration, on Monday, May 22, 2023, starting at 7pm, at the Salisbury Campo Center, 718 The Plain Road, Westbury, NY 11590.
