Heartsaver CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s researchproven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills. This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.

John Vacchio  is the Clinical Nurse Educator of the NYU    Winthrop Hospital’s Emergency Department located in Mineola, New York.  He is the Faculty Instructor for NYU Winthrop  Hospital’s Advanced Cardiac Life Support Program, a Basic Life Support Instructor, a Certified Trauma Nursing Core Course Instructor for the Emergency Nurse’s Association, and is an  Administrative Nursing Supervisor at a Level II Trauma Center. John received his Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Molloy College and is certified as an EMTP.
Don Wang is a Basic Life Support instructor and is Operations Manager for the Simulation Center/Community Training Center at NYU Winthrop Hospital.  He received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
