The presenter of this workshop will discuss Telepractice in an introductory and real-world manner that will provide Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists with background, current and future considerations. She will present resources for further training and perspective on current trends in telepractice. Participants will get some experiences with online interactive platforms.


Dawn Cotter-Jenkins is a Speech-Language Pathologist with experience improving speech and communication skills for people of all ages.  In her private practice, World Class Speech Services, Dawn specialized in providing services in the areas of Public Speaking and Accent Modification.  She has worked at Bronx Community College and Lehman College, among others, and is currently a Clinical Supervisor and adjunct instructor at Adelphi University. Dawn holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).  She is licensed by New State Office of Professions and serves on the New York State Education Department, Licensing Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.  She also serves on the Media Strategy Committee for the Council of Academic Programs in Communication Science and Disorders (CAPCSD).

6. show how to use training and collaboration with Telepractice eHelpers.

Cancellations and CEUs

Cancellations are refundable if received 72 business hours prior to the event.  Please note: Registrants will receive a certificate of completion when the course has been successfully completed.  If you wish to earn ASHA CEUs you must complete ASHA CEU forms and hand them in at the completion of the workshop. 


PowerPoint/Handout Presentations will be emailed to confirmed attendees, 72 hours prior to the workshop. There will be no internet access at the venue to download handouts. You will need to either print a copy or download the file to a computer, tablet or phone before the workshop. Paper Handouts will NOT be available at the workshop.
