This session will cover the steps needed to get your students on their way to being able to communicate with SNUG (spontaneous, novel, utterance generation) utilizing AAC tools. Topics such as core and fringe vocabulary, language development and AAC, least-most prompting, and scripting in preparation for your session, will be discussed. Choosing which page configuration to select within common apps and differences between the organization of those apps will be reviewed.  Therapeutic strategies to encourage SNUG will be emphasized.
