One of the biggest challenges Speech-Language Pathologists face is all the paperwork that must be completed for their jobs.  This workshop will focus on school-based providers and ways to hopefully make the paperwork easier.  The presenter will share different strategies and ways to make the paperwork easier.  Participants will also be asked to share examples of ways they organize themselves.


Kim Scharoff, M.A., CCC-SLP is the Supervisor of Speech-Language and Hearing Services at Nassau BOCES for the past 12 years.  Prior to becoming an administrator, she worked in the public schools as a speech-language pathologist. Kim has always had an interest in technology and figuring out how to work smarter, not harder.  She served LISHA across a variety of committees, Board positions, including the LISHA Presidency in 2008.  Kim is currently serving as the Continuing Education Administrator for LISHA.

2.    List 3 ways to utilize Microsoft Excel to assist with paperwork management.
3.    Discuss the pros and cons of subscription services.

PowerPoint/Handout Presentations will be emailed to confirmed attendees 72 hours prior to the workshop. There will be no internet access at the venue to download handouts. You will need to either print a copy or download the file to a computer, tablet, or phone before the workshop. Paper handouts will NOT be available at the workshop.
