Overview
This workshop will cover the difference between typical feeding and swallowing as well as disordered patterns in the pediatric population. During the workshop we will also discuss how to assess feeding and swallowing in children and differentiate between typical function and disordered patterns. The presentation will conclude with functional and evidence-based approaches to intervention.
Presenter
Jackie Klein, M.A., CCC-SLP, MBA is the founder of Bethlehem Speech Services, PLLC. Jackie has provided speech and language services to children and young adults for over 20 years. Jackie has held multiple clinical positions in both the public and private sectors prior to opening her practice. She serves on numerous interdisciplinary teams including the Cleft-Craniofacial Team at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Jackie teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate level at The College of Saint Rose, Syracuse University, and Bridgewater State University.
